A museum scavenger hunt built for your galleries

Most families come in for the dinosaur or the famous painting, see it, and start drifting toward the café. A Let's Tingo board gives them a reason to keep looking. We build a museum scavenger hunt with you, a bingo board of objects, details and corners of the building worth finding, and your visitors play it as they go.

Each visitor gets their own board from the same list of finds, and the first to fill five in a row calls a Tingo. Families slow down in front of the cases, and the gallery on the top floor finally gets people in it.

How it works for your visitors

A QR code on a sign in the lobby, on the gallery map or on the back of a ticket is all it takes. Visitors scan it, join in a tap, and get their board. Joining is free for them, in the app or in a browser, so if you've been looking for a museum scavenger hunt app, this is one nobody has to download before they start.

Families work their way through the galleries together, calling out the knight's helmet and the dog in the painting, looking closely at the work instead of hunting for the exit on the map.

A board that sends people looking closer

You know which objects get passed in a few seconds, and those are the ones to put on the board. A find like "Hidden signature" or "Fossil footprint" makes people stop and look properly at the cases they'd usually walk straight past, and a find like "Docent tour" brings them to the programs you want full.

We write the board with you, from your team's knowledge of the collection and ours of what makes a good find. The board carries your name, your colors and your logo.

A prize that brings them back

Turn it into a sponsored game and the board ends in a prize drawing. Visitors who hit the Tingo target before the game ends are entered, they can see how many people are playing and how many have qualified, and one winner is drawn when time runs out. A family membership as the prize gives people a reason to see the whole building, and a reason to come back.

A museum scavenger hunt for adults

Late openings and member nights suit a board just as well as a family Saturday does. A museum scavenger hunt for adults can lean on the details: the smallest object on display, a self-portrait, the painting with an animal hiding in the corner. Make it a camera game and every find needs a photo, so friends can compare what they found at the end of the evening.

Let's build a board for your museum

Tell us about your museum: what's in the collection, who comes through the doors, and what you most want them to notice. We'll come back with ideas for what a Tingo board could look like in your galleries. Let's Tingo works the same way for zoo scavenger hunts, self-guided walking tours and library scavenger hunts, and you'll find everything else we build on our partners page.
