Main Street events that move people from shop to shop

A shop-local weekend or a holiday open house usually brings people to the two or three places they already know. A Let's Tingo board takes them to the rest of the street. We build a downtown scavenger hunt with you, a bingo board of shops, landmarks and details around town, and people play it as they walk from door to door.

Each player gets their own board from the same list of finds, and the first to fill five in a row calls a Tingo. It works like a passport program, and the shop around the corner finally gets visitors.

How it works for your shoppers and visitors

A QR code on a sign in shop windows, on the downtown map or in the visitor guide is all it takes. People scan it, join in a tap, and get their board. Joining is free for them, in the app or in a browser.

Friends and families work their way down the street together, calling out the mural and the cat asleep in the bookshop window.

A downtown scavenger hunt for your merchants

You know which businesses people walk past, and those are the ones to put on the board. A find like "Antique clock" or "Barber pole" sends people into shops they'd never have tried, and a find like "Bandstand" brings them to the quieter end of town.

It fits the Main Street events you already run: a sidewalk sale, a holiday open house, a monthly art walk. Make it a join-any-time game, and people who arrive late can jump in halfway through. We write the board with you, from your knowledge of your members and ours of what makes a good find, and it carries your name, your colors and your logo.

A visitor passport for your city or county

Tourism offices have the same challenge on a bigger map: visitors stay near their hotel and the one attraction everybody knows. A city passport with finds from every neighborhood, or a county board that runs from one small town to the next, gives them a reason to see the rest. Set it to end when the season does, and the visitor passport runs all summer.

A prize at the end of the trail

Turn it into a sponsored game and the board ends in a prize drawing. Players who hit the Tingo target before the game ends are entered, they can see how many people are playing and how many have qualified, and one winner is drawn when time runs out. A basket of gift cards from your merchants or a weekend stay in town gives people a reason to reach every stop.
